A front is expected to move northwards over Fiordland during Wednesday. Ahead of the front, heavy rain is expected in Fiordland from Tuesday evening until Wednesday evening.
Heavy rain may cause streams and rivers to rise rapidly. Surface flooding and slips are also possible and driving conditions may be hazardous.

Forecast: 100 to 140mm possible, with intensities reaching 15 to 20mm per hour at times.
