National Volunteer Week
It's National Volunteer Week! This week, VM joins 16 other volunteer centres and Volunteering NZ in honouring the collective energies and mana of all our volunteers in Aotearoa. It’s also time to shine a light on the impact of volunteering – which contributes an estimated $4 billion to the New Zealand economy – yet it is under-resourced and under-valued.
This year, the theme for Te Wiki Tūao ā-Motu (National Volunteer Week) is ‘Time to Shine / He wā pīataata.’ so let’s thank volunteers for the difference they make to the Marlborough community!
What's your favourite tomato recipe?
Kia ora neighbours. We know your tomato plants are still growing, but we're looking ahead to the harvest already! If you've got a family recipe for tomatoes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine to share with our readers. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our February 2025 issue.
