Marlborough Dragon Boat Club open day Sunday 7 October.
Come along and have a go at the exciting international sport of Dragon Boating. We are a keen bunch of paddles looking to increase our numbers so we can compete in South Island and National regattas. We will be in town at the new Quays Riverside Park from 10:00am until 2:30pm with our boat and all the gear. Come and have a look or better still jump in the boat and have a go. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
