Who will be the 2017 Marlborough Express trophy winner?

The Marlborough Express Trophy, awarded to the premier club player of the year since the 2005 season, will go on the line again in 2017.


Last year outstanding Marlborough Girls' College shooter Malia Manoa took home the trophy after enjoying a superb season when she averaged a staggering 93 percent success rate under the hoop.

Previous winners: Malia Manoa (2016), Courtney Robinson (2015), Tessa-Jane Power (2014), Melissa Brady (2013), Cara Wiapo (2012), Jayden Stark (2011), Mhicca King and Bridget Gane (2010), Rachael Agnew (2009), Melissa Brady (2008), Jaimee Power (2007), Anna McLindon (2006), Michelle Stagg (2005).

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
