Take a Picnic: Ward Beach Reserve, an interesting exposed section of coast which is also used by the local fishing industry.

Paddle in the River: Brown River Reserve, a great swimming spot or picnic area. French Pass turnoff, Rai Valley, off State Highway 6.

Go Camping: Ohauparuparu Bay is a remote freedom camping site in the Kenepuru Sound for self-contained vehicles only. It is tidal, allowing boats to launch at high tide. It is a long drive along the Kenepuru Road.

Get Away From it All: Tirimoana Reserve, Anakiwa Rd, a landscaped open space for informal recreation and activities.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Dehorners

Ron from Fairhall - Renwick - Woodbourne

SharpAs Tool Tips

Pictured is a set of dehorners brought in for sharpening. Like all cutting tools, a sharp edge is essential for them to work efficiently and cleanly.

Good to see that pain relief is now part of the process as well.

If you have tools, knives, kitchen utensils, or other items that need sharpening or repair, come and see me:
🔹 Redwood Market – Saturdays
🔹 Marlborough Farmers’ Market – Sundays
Or contact me directly on 027 444 5535.

Cheers,
Ron
