Muriwai Beach will close to vehicles for third summer in a row

Melanie Earley Reporter from Nor-west News

Kia ora neighbours, Muriwai Beach will again close to vehicles over the peak summer holiday period.

It was recently announced drivers on the beach will have to pay a fee and a gate would be installed on the beach, but that won’t be ready until the summer of 2023/2023.

Meanwhile this summer, the beach will be closed to drivers from December 30, 2022, to January 16, 2023, an Auckland Council spokesperson confirmed.

Do you agree with the closure?
