Resource Consent For Landfill In Dome Valley
Noticed on page 13 of Rodney Times March 26th issue, that the Council are calling for submissions to obtain resource consent for this controversial landfill. Submissions opened March 25th and close May 26th. Am I being paranoid about the timing of this when we are in lock down and the Council is closed. Surely this should have been put off until we are out of this crisis. What do others think? How many people know about it?

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
