Hi Neighbours, It's three months to local body elections and we are waiting to hear with John Banks will contest the mayoralty. If he does, it would mean three former parliamentarians among the choice for mayor. Would that make you more likely to vote? Read my opinion piece below.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
