Cameron House (0896-1) the view from the front:
Last week I referred to this house as owned originally by a Capt. Cameron. However, when Joanna Baylis described the decades of personal experiences in the house, I've left the Captain's name out of the title. Joanna wrote:
"This is my grandparents old house from Wanganui. It was built at Wicksteed St and they lived there for decades. We spent many years visiting for holidays, weekends and Christmas. Their name was Cameron and they were school teachers. When they sold, it was purchased for a commercial office and called Cameron House. Then years later it was relocated. Not sure who Captain Cameron is but I'm sure my grandfather would be chuffed and amused. This is a beautiful old home."
Thank you Joanna!
