Commemoration
As no doubt many of you will know of the Tragic Bus Accident that happened to the Levin Floral Art & Garden Club 60 years ago this month. When they were travelling to have a beautiful Day out. Six of their members were killed and many more injured. Therefore on Sunday the 27th July @ 2 p.m. there will be a small Commemoration Service at the Thompson House Gardens, 4 Kent Street. To remember that Tragedy that had a huge impact on the Life’s of many Levin Families and Honour those who were involved in the recovery at that time and over the years.There has been a special planting of a tree by H.D.C. (Malus Ioensis Plena) surrounded by a newly constructed Garden. The Service will be taken by Celebrant Jo Mason, Mayor Bernie our Patron for the Thompson Memorial Culture Centre Inc. where members of the Public can also come together to remember and share the History and stories in a beautiful peaceful environment. Thompson Memorial Cultural Centre Inc. will be open on the 27th with a Historic Display to view. Along with an indoor display by the Levin Floral Art & Garden Club. The Art Centre and Pottery Club will also be open to the public over this weekend.
