Sharing with each other through the coronavirus outbreak

Jacinta from Levin

Dear neighbours we have an opportunity here through this network to offer kindness, care and generosity to each other. I went to buy a bag of flour to make some cookies and there was no flour in the supermarket. Among other things that people are buying in a panic. I'm sorry that everyone is so scared and anxious but if we are thoughtful and kind to each other we WILL make it through this. This network could be used as a sharing place. If someone can't get toilet paper and asked us through this network if anyone had some to share...well I would, and I know that lots of others would too. I know that Levin is full of kindly souls so let's not buy in to the panic, lets buy in to love and care for our neighbours.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
