Strange as rubbish is brought to the tip at Hokio which is much closer to Levin Lol

This is because the first flange on the motor hinge pin is broken, probably metal fatique from the constant vibration. This means the tension from the belt pulls the motor out of alignment and the belt just comes off. I can't think of how to fix this easily but if you can fix it then this will be a perfectly good clothes dryer.
Alternatively it has a great little 1/4 (quarter) horse power motor you could use to drive a workshop machine.
