She spent 5 hours in Palmerston North carrying the virus.
Some people have said she should have quarantined herself before travelling to the Palmerston North. Would you have done that?

But this benefit is negated by anger, the anger and disgust I feel towards the … View moreFor the benefit of my own physical and mental health I regularly do a walk which includes the section of Roslyn Road to the West of the Fairfield Road intersection. I appreciate the more rural environment it provides. But this benefit is negated by anger, the anger and disgust I feel towards the people who throw their fast food and drink containers out of car windows, not to mention a variety of other rubbish as well. I wish there was a way of putting an end to this behaviour but I can’t imagine how this might realistically be achieved. So anyway, this morning I planned to count the easily visible items of rubbish on one side of Roslyn Road between the 90 degree corner at the railway end to the Fairfield Road intersection and to take my phone to photograph a few examples. What I counted was only what was obvious without searching more closely into the long grass. The number was 375 items. I don’t understand how people think it is OK to do this.That they do do it only reflects a very low standard of social and environmental consciousness in our society for which the whole society must take responsibility. We all have had a part in creating these minds and attitudes. What next? Any suggestions?

I went to buy a bag of flour to make some cookies and there was no flour in the supermarket. Among other things that people are buying in a panic. I'm sorry that everyone is so scared and anxious but if we are thoughtful and kind to each other we WILL make it through this. This network could be used as a sharing place. If someone can't get toilet paper and asked us through this network if anyone had some to share...well I would, and I know that lots of others would too. I know that Levin is full of kindly souls so let's not buy in to the panic, lets buy in to love and care for our neighbours.
With Covid-19 separating us physically, we need to ensure we aren’t making any group of people feel distant from our community. Let's continue to show our Kiwi spirit and support reach other #RaceRelationsDay2020
