Sending Love - Christmas cards for those who are alone at Christmas
Sending Love (see their website and Facebook page) is again coordinating the collecting, messaging and delivery of Christmas cards to residents of rest homes. Grey Power Rotorua is hosting one of their dropboxes, at our office, which collects donations of cards - both commercial and home made - for this initiative, to be delivered in Rotorua.
We can accept donations of cards until December 8th, AND are hosting 2 sessions for writing personal messages into the cards donated:
Thursday 6th December 10am to 2pm at the Age Concern rooms at 1333 Eruera St (behind Spotlight at the lower end of Eruera St towards Kmart), and
Friday 7th December 10am - 2pm at our own building, right behind Age Concern, also 1333 Eruera St.
We have cards and pens, and 60 suggested greetings in case you are a bit stumped ... come along and help send the love !!
