Should there be more legislation in place for short term rentals?
Hi neighbours - families are being squeezed out of the rental market due to property owners renting out their homes for up to 100 nights per year before they need to pay business rates.
This results in a spike in short term rentals in suburban areas, and it's leading to rent increases across the board. There have also been complaints from residents who live among these homes, with one describing it as "three years of hell" due to excessive drinking and partying from guests.
Have you experienced anything like this? Should there be more legislation in place for short term rentals?
