MetService has issued a Severe Weather watch for Bay of Plenty and Rotorua on Wednesday and Thursday with periods of heavy rain.
Note, rain may ease for a time Wednesday evening and overnight Wednesday. The most significant heavy rain is likely on Thursday. Keep up to date with MetService here.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
