Volunteers sought for Hospice appeal
Hi neighbours,
Rotorua Community Hospice is on the hunt for volunteers for its annual Remembrance Tree Fundraiser appeal.
Funding manager Jan Morgan said they needed around 80 volunteers to sit with their seven Remembrance Trees between December 12 to December 19.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
