TUTORING Before Tertiary Studies 2020 begin

Lynne from Glenholme

If you (or someone you know) is enrolled or enrolling with Te Ohomai at the Waiariki Camus in Rotorua,
then read on.

As a qualified teacher and tertiary lecturer (retired but active),
I Know there are some students who have been let down by their secondary school.
They may not feel confidant about approaching academic studies
- in reading to understand text books, articles, lessons ...
They may not be confidant about approaching academic writing
- essays, assignments, reports, reviews ...

I am (as Red Penn Services) offering private tuition in a family environment to help address such difficulties.
I have tutored for pre-employment in the use of IT software, and in tertiary reading and writing.
I did this for "Step By Step" (who were contracted to WINZ).
I used SBS resources, but found my own methods helped more students,
some of which went on to create their own job - self-employed in their field of interest.
I have had students come to me, then go on to Ave their academic and/or Trade studies.
I am Confidant I can help almost anyone.

I will tutor one-on-one, supply resources for my student to take away for future reference,
and will focus on what each student needs.
Rate is hourly, and invoices and receipts supplied.
Please contact me via (close the gaps and replace the words with symbols)...

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Poll: As a customer, what do you think about automation?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.

Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.

We want to know: What do you think about automation?
Are you for, or against?
