Poll: Do you think we need more police?
Hi neighbours,
Rotorua is set to get five new police officers in the next year.
Making the announcement on Thursday, Police Commissioner Mike Bush said the Bay or Plenty would get 15 new staff as part of the Government's four-year, $388 million Safer Communities Package.
Of those, five will be based in Rotorua with two joining the Child Protection Team and three constables joining the Tactical Crime Unit.
But do you think that's enough?
