Celebrate Community - March 1st to 31st 🎂
This month is all about bringing your community together and having a great time! We want March to be all about celebrating the connections we have while making new ones along the way. As we all know, what makes a neighbourhood great isn’t the houses and cars, gardens and streets - it’s the people who share their presence and aroha with each other.
A wonderful way to take part is to participate in Neighbours Day Aotearoa which takes place from 20 - 30th March. This year’s theme is ‘The Great Plant Swap’ - as an easy way for our neighbourhoods to grow stronger together. Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Fundraining for Bowl Cancer

This February, I am taking part in Move your Butt for Bowel Cancer and will be conquering 200km for the 100 Kiwis who die from bowel cancer every month.
My goal is to raise funds for Bowel Cancer NZ to support patients, raise awareness and fund research to beat bowel cancer.
