pay rises for our Maor and Councilors
I would like to voice my concern as to the short period of time it took for our newly elected members to vote themselves a nice pay rise. This is at a time when there are so many people in our area who are living below the poverty line and are finding bit hard to live on a daily basis. We have children going to school without breakfast or lunch.This is where our elected councilors should be focusing and I suggest they donate all their pay rises to charity where as a city we will be able to assist those in need.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
