There is a great opportunity for those of you who would to explore a number of career opportunities all in the one 17 week course - automotive, carpentry, cooking and fitness.This FREE Toi Ohomai course is open to everyone and will run Mondays to Thursdays at an Eastside venue. There is even free transport to and from the course if you need it. We have enrollment forms here at the Mokoia Community Association that we can help you fill out, or, we can answer any questions you may have first. There is an information session about the course being held here at our community hall, Monday 12th February at 1pm. We would love to hear from you.
Fundraining for Bowl Cancer
Hi,
This February, I am taking part in Move your Butt for Bowel Cancer and will be conquering 200km for the 100 Kiwis who die from bowel cancer every month.
My goal is to raise funds for Bowel Cancer NZ to support patients, raise awareness and fund research to beat bowel cancer.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
