Ngongotaha Village Recycle Centre
The old saying 'if you don't use it you may lose it' comes to mind.
The Ngongotaha Village Community & District started a Recycle Centre due to the need identified for our area.
However within 12 months of the opening date of our Community Grown Recycle Centre, RLC decided to offer Kerbside Recycling.
You may not know but we do take Polystyrene and many other things that cannot be placed in the Kerbside Bins, we are open each week for Recycling, not just fortnightly. Gold Coin Donation. We have an attendent who is willing to help you with your recycling, on arrival. You don't have to get a bin to the gate.
WHERE ??
Please come and check our 'Community-led Recycling option;
On site at the Gull Service Station Ngongotaha
(looking at the Service station we are over to the right back corner)
Every Sunday 12pm-2pm
We also have a small Community Garden at the Ngongotaha Centre and invite offers of help with appreciation.
So...as I started...
'If you don't use it, you will lose it'
Christmas is coming and you will have loads of Polystyrene to rid yourselves of...we have decided to take it, because we want to keep; road sides, ditches, streams, cycling tracks, clear of rubbish such as Polystyrene.
Thanks and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Kind Regards
Lynn
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
