1. Set up a Halloween Group for your street! Plan your Halloween evening with your neighbours to see what time everyone is taking the kids out. You could even co-ordinate matching costumes!
2. Download one of our SPOOKY Neighbourly Halloween posters to stick on your house or letterbox for if:
- You welcome all trick or treaters
- You want trick or treaters to stay away
3. Stay in areas of your neighbourhood that are familiar and are well lit. And although Halloween is supposed to be spooky, be careful not to frighten your elderly neighbours by popping out of the dark!
Stay safe and have fun!

Anyone out there know where I can buy mini hamburger buns suitable for canapes/fingerfood. No problems if outside Rotorua only if they deliver. The smaller the buns the better. Cheers

We found out that some participants have some pretty wacky costume ideas like; ‘Donald Trump', ‘an inflatable flamingo’ a ‘popcorn vendor’ and ‘grumpy grannies’. Comment below with what you'll be dressing up as this year!

For Hall Road residents and users, a pair of Plover birds are wandering with their baby in tow so please be mindful when walking and driving.
You probably would have heard them lately, when they feel threatened the baby bird ducks down and camouflages so can be really difficult to see, if you see the two parents around or hear them then the baby is likely to be close by somewhere so please tread with caution. Hopefully they head back to the paddocks soon where they will be a little safer.
Very cool the amount of Tui's present lately though, and now the plover families.
Thanks <3

She was crossing both the main road and western road tonight carrying her little babies one by one and thankfully she made it safely with them but unsure where she has taken them. Last seen taking her last baby through the gates of zero to 100 automotive
I have been in touch with a local rescue, I was unable to get ahold of spca for advice (which I expected)
If you do see anything please get in touch with Mana Rescue or let me know.
Also, if anyone has any animal food there pets won't eat/going spare or is able to start feeding her regularly that would be great start (with the idea of trapping her to have her fixed in the long run)
