Dogs
Hi folks. On Friday 17 August, a person let his dog(s) out of his vehicle at 499 State Highway 30. He was parked on the property verge just off the road. The dog(s) then proceeded onto the bush-backed property and killed all but one duck and ate several small chickens. The remaining duck eventually returned, feathers missing and in shock. She was lucky. All of the birds killed were pets and some had been hand raised. The owner of the dog(s) would have heard the slaughter and he would have known what was going on. Has he got the guts to come forward?
All but one duck had leg bands and all were obviously domesticated.
This absolute and total lack of respect by some dog owners of others properties and pets is disgusting and totally unacceptable.
Yesterday I phoned Rotorua Lakes Council about another dog owner that continually allows her dog to wander about my property despite many requests that the practice stops. Sorry. I have had enough! Do dog owners here really want every dog to be leashed at all times as in the city? Not really fair is it? For those of you that don't give a damn, think about those that do and stop screwing it up for everyone else!!

Poll: As a customer, what do you think about automation?
The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.
Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.
We want to know: What do you think about automation?
Are you for, or against?
