Ngongotaha Stream Walkway. Volunteers Needed
Raking a track. A simple task that makes a huge difference to the visual enjoyment of the walking track.
From start to finish, there are around four kilometers of a walkway that needs regular maintenance of one form or another.
The work is carried out by a very small team of volunteers[two of whom are in their seventies], and more volunteers are desperately needed.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
