The Art of Spoon Carving: Open Now!
These spoons must be held to be believed!
The Art of Spoon Making, exhibition by Robyn Parkinson, is now open to view, hold, admire and inspire! Celebrate the modesty and minimalism of spoons in all their forms – as delicate still life paintings, wall-mounted assemblages, and of course… as cooking utensils.
Robyn will be at Feilding Art Centre from 4pm to 6pm on Wednesday to speak about this latest exhibition. She’ll even be bringing along a demo spoon to show us how she transforms salvaged wood into ‘scrapers’, ‘stirrers’, ‘eaters’ – why not come along on your way home from work?

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
