I hope you are enjoying the long weekend. The lucky draw winner from last week is Emma P. She will get a free $20 order this week. There will be another lucky draw for a $20 order this week for anyone who orders this week.
Next Thursday the $12 orders are expected to contain corn, broccoli, potatoes, carrots, nectarines, plums and apricots. The $20 orders add in more volume plus celery, rockmelon and bananas. The deal of the week is water melon for $4.95.
Why not order now at foodtogether.co.nz... instead of having to remember to do it before midday on Tuesday.

Ever since the lamented demise of Palmy's community paper The Tribune last year, friends and acquaintances have said how much they missed the publication and its curated coverage of community stories.
A feature that seemed to be especially missed was the weekly What's On and its daily list of events, performances and shows.

So, in response here's a hastily concocted trial of goodies taking place around Manawatū Thursday to Wednesday January 17 - 23.

It is not a booking site, just an overview and handy reference that can work alongside complementary sites such as eventfinda and other official theatre and event booking outlets.

cheap wasp trap

Wasps give a very painful sting and can repeatedly sting. Adults, children, pets and Monarch butterflies (from the egg to chrysalis), bees etc are all targets.
An easy, cheap trap is to cut the top of a plastic bottle and turn the top upside down. Mix 2 cups apple cider vinegar, 2 cups sugar … View more
Wasps give a very painful sting and can repeatedly sting. Adults, children, pets and Monarch butterflies (from the egg to chrysalis), bees etc are all targets.
An easy, cheap trap is to cut the top of a plastic bottle and turn the top upside down. Mix 2 cups apple cider vinegar, 2 cups sugar (not honey as that will attract bees) and 1 cup water. I found this enough for 3 bottles. Wasps get in and can't get out.
