Flushing wet wipes and cloths makes extra work for council
Southland district councillors are frustrated that people keep flushing wet wipes and cleaning cloths down the toilet.
And the council waste and water operations manager Bill Witham said grinders might be the only way to go, as people were not getting the message.

⏳ The not-so-great news? It’s still a little way off. The Invercargill City Council has decided to wait until the museum is fully finished in late 2027 before opening, instead of opening parts early at extra cost.
