The coat hangers remain on the walls of the Wrights Bush Hall where dances and gatherings used to bring the community together.

Years later, the building had gone unused and the floors scuffed by the odd rugby practice when it was too cold to train outside.

However, the hall has been refurbished and was reopened on Tuesday as the Wrights Bush Community Market.

Yvette O'Shaughnessy, a mother of 12 and 13 year old girls at the school, started a discussion about the current uniform.

O'Shaughnessy brought it up after her daughters said they would like the option to wear shorts or pants, especially being as active as a lot of the boys at school, she said.
