State Highway 2
From Sunday 21 April, road reconstruction work will begin on State Highway 2, Chapel Street, Masterton through until early June, weather permitting.
Throughout the works, one side of the road will be closed a time, day and night, all week. Light vehicles will need to detour down Dixon Street, and heavy vehicles to detour at Ngaumutawa Road.

Friday night at the Observatory
Nelson Astronomical Society is about to start it's winter public observing season. Most clear Friday nights until daylight savings we will open the Cawthron Observatory at Cliffton terrace School and for a small donation you can enjoy views through several different telescopes including our wonderful Celestron C-14 scope. Small hall for hire
The Lower Moutere Scout den is available for hire. Ideal for meetings, Childrens birthdays, Craft classes, Band practices, etc. The den is heated with a recently installed heatpump. There is a small kitchen, Full size electric stove, Fridge and Toilet facility. A new Strand board wooden varnished floor, A piano if you wish to play, and seating.
