Marlborough Horticultural Society Late Summer Show - Saturday 10th February
The Marlborough Horticultural Society is holding the late summer show, featuring dahlias on Sat Feb 10th at St Christopher's Church Hall. It will be showcasing the best of the region's dahlias, summer flowers, houseplants, fruit and veggies, plus children's classes. Bonsai, Herb Society and Floral Art Displays will be there, along with numerous fabulous plant sales tables and a raffle. Complimentary tea and coffee.
Starts at 10am and prize giving is at 3pm. The event is free to MHS members or $2 at the door.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
