Remote computer support

Christopher from Create IT

If you've got an internet connection, but can't figure out how to do something on your computer, Create IT offers remote support.
Normally I provide it to support existing clients, and charge a minimum fee, but have a billing system can track time to the nearest minute, so during lockdown, if you need help, I'll waive the minimum fee and you'll be charged only for the actual time used.
You can download the support software from the link provided. It's preconfigured so that only Create IT can connect remotely to your computer, and only after you explicitly grant permission, and phone to confirm.

Being a local home based IT business, lockdown doesn't have much impact, but last lockdown I had to provide considerable IT support to my own household, so I want others to know that they can get help if they need it, without bursting their bubble.

I am reasonably busy, but will help if I can.

Dehorners

Ron from Fairhall - Renwick - Woodbourne

SharpAs Tool Tips

Pictured is a set of dehorners brought in for sharpening. Like all cutting tools, a sharp edge is essential for them to work efficiently and cleanly.

Good to see that pain relief is now part of the process as well.

If you have tools, knives, kitchen utensils, or other items that need sharpening or repair, come and see me:
🔹 Redwood Market – Saturdays
🔹 Marlborough Farmers’ Market – Sundays
Or contact me directly on 027 444 5535.

Cheers,
Ron

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
