Final call for Annual Plan feedback
Submissions on Council’s 2020-21 Annual Plan Update close on Monday 4 May so now is your last chance to have your say.
This year’s plan outlines measures to help Marlborough get through the COVID-19 crisis, including a maximum rates increase of 2.2%.
The Council is continuing its major projects like the new District Library and Art Gallery, the Lansdowne Park Sports Hub, roads and water projects, which all create jobs and boost our economy.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
