Safest time to enjoy Wither Hills
Fire and Emergency New Zealand has installed signage at the Wither Hills Farm Park entrances to let people know the best time to safely enjoy their walk, run or bike.
Although the park is at the lower end of the elevated fire danger thanks to cooler weather, a hot and windy day can quickly push things into the high risk category.
So if you’re heading up with Wither Hills make sure you heed “The Burning Day” signs and stick to the lower tracks on hot summer days.
