Big investment to monitor freedom camping - What are your thoughts?
Hi neighbours - Marlborough will receive about $730,000 to monitor freedom camping sites and upgrade toilet facilities.
The money will be used to upgrade four of the region's toilet blocks, improve monitoring at freedom camping sites over summer, and run a feasibility study into freedom camping ahead of the council's fourth review of its camping bylaw.

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
