Runner's feet 'destroyed' after 100km run in gumboots for flood-hit farmers
Blisters, a bleeding nose, sore gut and jelly legs couldn’t stop George Black.
The 24-year-old successfully ran from North Canterbury to Christchurch – in size 8 Red Band gumboots – with the aim to raise more than $10,000 for farmers going through tough times, particularly after recent floods. He surpassed the mark by more than $4000.
Well done George!

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
