Canterbury standardbred rehab charity hopes for surer footing after Covid-19
A charity dedicated to rehabilitating horses after their harness racing career ends is hoping to pick up the pace by reining in more support.
As all horses across the Southern Hemisphere celebrated their standardised birthday on Saturday, North Canterbury charity Stable to Stirrup looked back over a challenging first year in operation.
The Stable to Stirrup Charitable Trust was established to help ease the pressure on people re-homing standardbred horses.
