Waimakariri council CEO Jim Palmer to step down next year after 17 years' service
Waimakariri District Council chief executive Jim Palmer says he has been considering standing down for a while, to provide a fresh start for himself and the council.
“I’m fortunate to leave the council in a strong position, with a committed and skilled team of colleagues and council members who will continue to lead the organisation and continue building our excellent community,” he says.
The council will appoint an external recruiter by September to help select the new chief executive.
