Congratulations to Oxford Area School's prizewinners

Oxford Area School's students have been honoured for their "tenacity and hard work" at the North Canterbury school's annual senior prizegiving.

The annual awards were given out at a ceremony at the Oxford Town Hall earlier this month November, with Ellie Tizzard named 2019 dux (top scholar).

Principal Mike Hart congratulated all students for their efforts this year.

"This is an opportunity for students to be honoured for their tenacity and hard work throughout the year and to be recognised for these efforts."

OXFORD AREA SCHOOL'S MAJOR PRIZEWINNERS FOR 2019:

Dux, Top Scholar: Ellie Tizzard
Proxime Accessit, Runner up to Dux: Rebecca Jones
Prime Ministers Vocational Pathways Scholarship: Tia Warwick
Sportsperson: Rebecca Jones
Runner up to the sportsperson: Ashley Riley
Lions Emerging Achievers Scholarship: Rebekah Buxton and Kahn Pike
