Did you experience delays on the Waimakariri Bridge/Christchurch Northern Motorway this weekend?

Traffic was slower than walking speed north of the city on Saturday, as some motorists experienced hour-long delays due to roadworks.

A NZ Transport Agency spokeswoman said the Christchurch Northern Motorway was "reduced in capacity", as the team poured concrete on Friday night for the new Waimakariri Bridge decks. The bridge is due to be fully open again on Monday.
