Farewell to Fridays
We have some exciting up coming changes to the Northern Outlook. We are relaunching as a weekly bumper edition, publishing every Wednesday starting October 16. Our new once-a-week paper will be larger, deliver the local content we know you love, and we are printing an additional 1000 copies to improve distribution.
And we want to hear from you! If you have details of an event for our what's on page, photos of your newborn or child starting school, details of your sports club or match, info about someone doing something cool in our community, or an issue in your neighbourhood you think we should highlight please get in touch. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
