Proposal to cancel Waikuku bus route met with public opposition
Residents of a North Canterbury beach settlement say they may be forced to relocate if the village's bus service is cancelled.
More than 100 people turned out to a public meeting in Waikuku on Friday to share their concerns about the affect the cancellation would have on the community.
Stopping the service is part of proposed changes to the Waimakariri district's public transport services being consulted on by Environment Canterbury.
