Public competition finds clever name for New Zealand's biggest aquatic thrill ride
More than 2000 people have helped name the new aquatic thrill ride at Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa.
A public competition was launched last month to find a name for the 13.5-metre water slide, which is expected to open in November.
It will be known as Conical Thrill – a play on the name of one of the village's most well-known natural attractions, Conical Hill.
