North Canterbury's subdivision fears over flooding laid to rest following three-year investigation
An ongoing headache for residents living in Kaiapoi's Silverstream development is finally over after the Waimakariri District Council confirmed their houses are protected from flooding after all.
Confusion over floor levels began in 2016 when it was reported up to 300 new homes in the North Canterbury suburb may have been flood prone due to an error in the original survey.
