Tuahiwi School principal's 'passion' for governance recognised with national award
The principal of a small North Canterbury school has been named the Māori or Pasifika Governance Leader in this year's Women in Governance Awards.
Melanie Taite-Pitama has a string of governance roles behind her and currently sits on the Ara Council, for the Ara Institute of Canterbury, as Ngāi Tahu's representative, and is the principal at Tuahiwi School.
Congratulations Melanie!
