Waimakariri's local heroes recognised at community awards
Thirty people have been acknowledged for their contributions to the Waimakariri district.
The annual Community Service Awards were held at the Rangiora Town Hall on Wednesday evening, recognising those who had made positive contributions to the district.
Now its 28th year, the awards celebrate those who work quietly in the background to make their community a better place to live.
