Photo Finishes
Putting yourself in the frame.
Aluminium windows and doors come in a variety of finishes.
The frames can be "naked' aluminium,
or anodised - usually the classic bronze from the 70s & 80s
or maybe your frames are coloured (or look painted) - which means they have been powder coated at the factory.
Unlike wood, aluminium doesn't rot or swell with moisture, but they can all do with a little TLC from time to time.
A quick clean with warm water and detergent works wonders on the powder coating.
The anodised frames can look a bit dull, so a light scrub with the green plastic scotchbrite-type pads and soap followed up with a little metal polish can restores its shine.
Keep away from strong solvents and abrasives and you should be fine.
