I want to thank all those who came to our club rooms to see our Model Railway Christmas Grotto and the layouts in our "Great Hall". This was the first time an event like this had been staged by us and possibly in N.Z. to our knowledge. There were a lot of happy and satisfied visitors from many other places in N.Z. We had a lot of great comments / compliments about what we had done and lots of interesting conversations about early model railway. All the children seemed to enjoy THOMAS AND FRIENDS as well, This event was more successful than we had anticipated. Again a BIG THANK YOU to all who supported this activity.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL.

The Ashley-Rakahuri Rivercare Group (ARRG) turned to the ancient pest control method and erected Linda, the scarecrow, near the black-billed gull (tarāpuka) colony, last month.
She has proven very efficient, ARRG chairman Nick Ledgard said, and a second scarecrow has since been added at the other end of the breeding ground. Continue reading here.

This is taken from the report on the proposed Quarry at Rangiora Racecourse. Where is it to be processed then??? Will it be processed at the Tagarts site in Cones Road which is very close to all the new and old housing as well as the Rangiora Hospital in the adjacent area of River Road and Riverview Road and the housing area in the back of these streets.
Is there anyone out there who can tell me this?
