Bloom Pukekohe Op Shop : Appreciation Post
🌟 Appreciation Post 🌟
Today marks 3 months since we opened the doors to the Bloom Pukekohe Op Shop, and we want to send out a HUGE ngā mihi nui — thank you to everyone who has been part of this wild ride! 💛
It all began with the trust and confidence IHC New Zealand placed in Bloom Pukekohe, giving us the opportunity to take over the Counties IHC Op Shop. We're proud to continue empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to grow, learn, and live fulfilling lives in our community.
A heartfelt shoutout to Furniture Clearance Centre and the Franklin Local Board for helping us secure our amazing store location — and for your ongoing support. 🙌
To the awesome crews at Fortitude and Tilyards — thank you for making our big move smooth and seamless. 🚛💪
We are also incredibly grateful to Lotto NZ, the NZ Lottery Grants Board and Foundation North for their continued support — your contributions help make this all possible. 🙏
A huge thank you to our dedicated team and board, whose hard work and vision drive everything we do. And to our incredible volunteers who show up each day with passion and purpose. We appreciate each and every one of you.❤️
Finally, to our wonderful community — your generosity, kindness, and encouragement have been nothing short of inspiring. From donations and shopping visits to kind words and shared stories, you've made this journey so special.
Here’s to many more months of making a blooming difference, together. 💫

Poll: Should we ditch daylight saving? 🕰️
First introduced in New Zealand in 1927 with the passing of the Summer Time Act, it's what we know as 'Daylight Saving' and this year it ends on the first Sunday in April.
While we do get to sleep in this time around, some people would like to scrap the clock tinkering for good.
And why? Some evidence suggests the time changes are bad for our health as they mess with sleep patterns leading to short-term fatigue and affecting mood. Meanwhile the hour change is frustrating for farmers and a nightmare for getting the littlies to sleep. But what's your take?
-
0% Yes - get rid of the clock changes
-
0% No, I enjoy it
-
0% Other - I'll share below

Here at The Doctors we would love to hear how you prefer to book your doctor’s appointments. With busy schedules, different people find different methods easier.
For some, online booking is very convenient, you can make an appointment anytime without needing to wait on the phone. Others still prefer calling the clinic and speaking to a real person, especially if they have specific questions about their visit.
Your feedback helps us understand what works best for our patients and how we can improve access to care.
